Ever thought of what it would be like to be a volunteer fire fighter?  The excitement and energy of being a part of a terrific team of people whose goal it is to assist those in need whenever they need it? Drive a fire engine? Rescue someone trapped in a car? Assist someone with a medical emergency? Rescue someone who has fallen though a sheet of ice? Fight a structure fire, wildland fire, or even vehicle fire? If so, volunteering for the Long Valley Fire Department may be right up your alley.

Some Requirements Include:

  • You must be a Long Valley Fire District Resident.
  • Pass a basic medical physical.
  • You should be able to attend the weekly meetings every Thursday evening at 7:00 pm at the Long Valley Fire Station.
  • You must be able to work well with others.
  • You must have a clean driving record.
  • You must be able to pass a minimal background check.
  • You should be able to attend required training’s as they are available.
  • You should be available for calls at various times of the day/night.
  • You should be physically fit enough for strenuous exercise that includes lifting, pushing, pulling, stretching, and carrying heavy weight.
  • Be able to withstand warm to hot working environments and sometimes even extreme cold environments.

We are currently looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join the Long Valley Fire Department. Come see if the fire department is right for you by joining us at our regular meetings every Thursday evening at 7pm at the Long Valley Fire Station in Crowley Lake. The Fire Station is located at 3605 Crowley Lake Drive next to the Sheriff’s Sub Station near the public library and Kiddies Park.
