Present land uses in the communities served by the Long Valley Fire Protection District include residential, commercial, and public uses in the southern portion of the district, as well as commercial and industrial uses in the northern portion of the district. This land ranges from the cinder shack at the top of Sherwin Grade, along the 395 Highway to State Route 203, to halfway out the Benton Crossing Road, and encompasses all of the communities within.
